I don't understand what mode the sti is in when they make these vids, 1st I owned a 03 evo in the us so it had no driver controlled electronics and it was still really easy to slide, but the sti has dccd which you can put around 80% of it's power in the rear making it just as easy so it mostly understeers in it's auto center diff mode. 2nd the sti you can't dump the clutch and launch like an evo so if you bog you get destroyed like it did in this vid. Can I drive the sti and show the equality?

@roydied15 They are more reliable than evo's, I was a evo owner I kno their weaknesses very well and there is more things to worry about than an sti, and style wise it depends on the girl both are attractive in their own ways I find the suby more wholesome, take the girl for a ride in both and she will want to be in the sti the interior quality is better and more comfortable, if you want looks and less fun then that audi will suit you.

Oh man, I struggle with buying either an audi s4 or an evo 8 or 9, if the maintenance wasn't such a pain in the but for the evo I would totally buy it, oh and also the interior is crap, I want something I can travel in and have a nice comfortable feel, already had my license suspended once for racing, so I think I will go with luxury over speed, even though they are almost hand in hand.

the 8 has not got a fq-360!! its either a gsr 260, fq-300 or 330. The mr version comes in 320, 340 or the special fq-400 but the sti still has 300bhp! Get over it-in this review the impreza loses!

The STi has great performance, reliability, looks great and is cheaper. And that's way I'm now an owner of an awesome Subaru Impreza Wrx STi 2005 :)

How did you get lag out of a microscopic turbo like that? I build boost out of my stock 1.8t jetta at around 2000, if that. You had a 01, so you just didn't have any power. Those turbos aren't even half the size that the evo's and sti's use.

audi's cost too much. i like mitsubishi as a brand but only for the cars they make, just because they are cheap. you can get a barebone 2010 lancer for 15500 dollars or a 2011 for 16000. thats pretty good for a 150 hp 5-speed family car

and the evo is just the same car on steroids, i like them all but i like the evo the most
