Old school gauntlet matches are like now-a-days last man standing matches, only it's a 3 count instead of a 10. Nothing wrong with the ref, that's the way the match works.

there were special rules in the match. he didnt have to pin them. they effectively had to be knocked out for a 3 count. and as for him still getting his title shot. the stipulation was that if anyone in the billionaires club interfered he wouldnt get his shot, and the technicality was that goldberg wasnt in either team.

Still, I don't get the three counts on Candido, Stamboli (AKA RELLIK), and Konnan when they weren't pinned. Even the announce team was like "for the three count (what the Hell?)"
