Thanks for the clarification. It was hard enough to find references to these falls let alone the proper names. There are 5 falls along the trail, with Cathedral being the most distant. As it was the most commonly used name I used it as the reference.
The falls labeled as Cathedral Falls and Birdstand Falls are usually known as Mill Shoals or Shoal Creek Falls and Elysium or French Broad Falls, repectively. :) The falls usually known as Cathedral Falls is actually downstream a few hundred yards and is also know as Bird Rock Falls.
One of my favorite trips! Love this whole area.. The only thing better than being there and driving thru would be to see it by Motorcycle! Wow
