this is god damn cruel, instead of freeing the mouse you thought 'i know ill whip my camera out, this'll mke a great video.' that mouse was probably suffering with a great deal of shock and terror which you were just prolonging by allowing the cat to proceed. you may think 'oh its natural,' well its not. by supplying the cat with a alternate food source it did not see the mouse as food and so didnt kill it outright which would of been kinder as the mouse probably died of shock anyway!

Last night in the middle of the night, my two (adorable) cats were chasing a mouse. I got up, tried to find the mouse so I could let it out. Could not. Back to sleep. Woke up in the morn, my cat was sitting next to a blanket with a silly grin on her face next to a blanket I kicked off the bed. Under the blanket was a (live) itsy bitsy mouse! My cat was "guarding" the baby mouse. Built a nest in my tool box with grass, food, water, etc. Day One of survival. It has already overcome so much.

Wild rodents carry diseases. I say kill em all either by humane traps or a cat. My 6 month old kitten was doing this same thing and I cheered her on. Mice in a house where humans live is not a good thing. My family was deathly sick because of mice in the walls. Some of you say poor mouse in a house where it can not escape and this is animal cruelity....I say boo to that. Do not get me wrong I love all animals but when its up against my famly and my health....wild rodents need to go.

I agree with Vire70. I know this stuff happens in nature every day, and that is just fine, nothing we can (or should) do about it. But to let a cat hunt a live mouse inside your house where it can't escape is just animal cruelty in my opinion. I think it is rather worrying that you found this entertaining enough to film and make a music video out of it rather than feeling any empathy for another living creature.
