How I envy you. Unfortunately , I was born short sited SO, 125CC WAS as far as I dare go. If they had found out that I was born short sited the'd have thrown away the key. but from one end of the coast to the other ; SE Kent etc. I'd love to try again but I wouldn't get away with it , this time. thanks.
It's good how much sharper the sound is out of a Coventry rather than a Hinckley two pot. The Leicestershire items don't have the same bark, and I don't think its just to with the amount of baffles or wadding in the silencers.
Awesome camera angle and riding. Keep up the vids! One of these days i gonna visit n blast all over the UK!!.. Brian from Sacramento, California, USA.
lumad i noticed that on your bonnie you have the conical front brake setup. on my past brit bikes i either had the earlier 68-70 tls drum brake or a disk brake. does it do a good job in stopping the bike?

Is this the 650 bonneville? And also, are the handlebars aftermarket? Nice video by the way.

@ofFanelia
Yup it's a 72 T120R and the bars are std Brit style they have approx 1.1/2" rise on them.

@magna59
You're dead right magna :-) the old ones sound the best.
apart from they are both parallel twins they are worlds apart the strangled to death, regulation compliant: modern Bonnie
compared to the not many rules to follow, hot, smelly fire breathing old ones :-D

Wrap the mic with foam if you want to eliminate the wind noise.
jntroisi 2 years ago
Hi jntroisi the wind noise is a pain,
as I am using a small compact camera the mic is just three small holes,and they are covered with sponge and surgical tape.
I have now attached a length of petrol pipe to them so I can run it to the rear of bike.
I just have to test it see if it works.

Interesting idea. Looking forward to your next vid.

Hi mac163 I have no problems with the conical hub, it is a good brake has plenty of feel and looks the best of the bunch :-)

whats up lunmad! cool camera angle!
mac163 2 years ago
On the day mac163, up was the sun! (makes a change)
the camera is strapped across the pillion seat.
I have just glued a length of tube to my camera, see if it improves the sound.

You are a good judge gordonemoore I was running 4-4500 most of the time with the odd 5000rpm.
she cruses good around them revs on a sustained 70+ run I periodically snap the throttle shut for that extra lubing caused by the crankcase vacuum.
Fun fun love it and so does me Bonnie :-)
lunmad 2 years ago
Judging by the rate the scenery went by and overtaking the cars, you were runnin' fast! 70+ I'd say. That's the fun ain't it?
Good ride.
