Ok so I've been looking for a beginner gun and for about a week I thought I was 100% sure that I was getting a 98 custom... Until I heard about the a5. I would REALLY appreciate an answer and if anybody has the time, could you tell me two or three attachments that are recommended?

@cardinalsfan2596 my recommendation would be to get the tippmann a5. 3 highly recommended attachents for it would be 1, TechT iFit barrel sizers 6 pack. This makes your gun as accurate as possible. second i would get a new barrel, id recommend looking into some flasc, or bigshot barrels. 3rd, get some Techt squishy paddles for your cyclone feed hopper, these will completely eliminate ball breaks insiden your hopper.

@TheMrAtlantic Yeah it is semi-auto stock. I have this gun and I love it. Pretty cheap too! Got mine for $180.00 at Dicks.Very durable also. When you put the co2 tank in, you just cock it one time and then you are good until you take the tank out and put it back in. Overall, it is a very good gun. You should get it!

@S3ARCHINGx well i got the rap-4 clip too for more realism, but i do recomend the cyclone feed. never jammed once, the 14 inch barrel made mine really accurate but all that does make it a little bit on the heavy side, specially adding a co2 tank so one of the vest that allow u to put the co2 on ur back is also helpfull

Some people said that the cyclone paddle that comes with it sux and that u have to purchase a softer paddle so it doesn't chop but mine works fine and never chops paint

By the way besides the weight of this gun every speedball player I know says it's good for it as long as you have an EGrip and the techt fang trigger and a regulator will help too

Scenario gun yes!! Speedball no!! I have an a5 like this one is a great durable gun, buy this only if you want to add all this mods to make it look like different guns, beware it gets very expensive buying all this parts. For speed ball I wouldn't recommend this, I am actually looking into buying a second gun for speedball, something much lighter to carry around and shoot much faster.

@JayByrd319 Sorry man, I don't have a video review but the 98 is an awesome marker (though I do prefer the A-5). The 98 is reliable and durable. It might chop a ball once in a while but overall it's a great starter kit. If you do end up buying one, I would recomend buying a cyclone feed for it as well. The cyclone feed will decrease the chance of chopping a ball to nealy 0. When you don't chop a ball, clean up is so much easier. Good luck :)

@Jaws2blood1 Yes, a company called Tacamo made a mag conversion kit for it. Its not actually released yet and I believe its released like April 29th. You can pre-order them right now for $120 and its basically an entire replacement body thats the same as the A5 body but takes magazines. It also has the option to put a normal hopper has well... just google Tacamo A5 Magazine Kit or something like that, halfway through Google will know what you want and recommend it!

the a5 is a good gun and shoots well, but when i got mine it broke after about 5000 shots. the problem was the cyclone hopper. there is a tiny pin inside the gun that controls the cyclone hopper to spin and it broke on me 3 times.

nice on the outside - but the internals are way out of tolerance and nothing compared to a real paintball-marker.

got this with a flatline-barrel, squishy paddles and double trigger - ballbreaks, fps between 180-240 and not getting it stable. annoying tippmann. never again.

tippmann A5 is a great woodsball/senario gun i have the egrip. the cyclone loader is great i have not choped any balls.(no homo) i have my gun set at 15bps. its great i have a couple vids on it so go to my channel and check it out.

Compressed air is more expensive, but is always the better choice. i have an a5, and its alot more accurate with air than co2. Also co2 can be bad for the gun if its shot too fast.

Today I was testing out my tippmann A-5, I had attached my Co2 tank to it and I heard a slight leak in the cyclone feed system. I don't know if it's in the skrew connected to the marker, or in the cyclone feed system.

and it needs rehomed every 2000 shots so you might be able to get like 4 full days of paintball before you need to get it rehomed or it will be extremly inaccurate compared to what it was to start with but i would reccomend this gun for any woodsball player who is looking for an extremly durable gun that will last you years with very little matience you guys can send me messages if you want more advice on what gun version to get or the problems i've had with it.

i have a tippman a5 i love it the only thing that you might not expect o rat least i didnt is when you shoot a 12oz c02 (which is what i use) usually you would get about 800-1000 shoots but with the cyclone feeder it uses gas also so i average about 400-500 shots per tanks which isnt bad if you getting free air but if your playing with your friends it gets kind of annoying always having to bring like 2 or 3 tanks. i wouln't reccomend buying a flatline barrel simply for the reason it costs $100

this gun is really good especially for the beginners and it has a flatline barrel which u should get 4 it and it adds about 100 ft w/ the flatline barrel so i really like this gun

@Addicted2Math If you're talking about the OpsGear set, then it's just a matter of bolting it on to the marker. Some modification may be required. But this is just speculation, I've never done it.
