I would like to see more of this piano, it looks very close to the one I am restoring but made by G.Capra Philadelphia. The dimensions, hammers and string layout look identical. Are the large bolts above the tuners factory? Or did they have the same problem as me with the wood separating along top edge?
@clockworktoys As far as I know the bolts are original, although the plank had come away from the back. Most barrel pianos are basically the same layout but the scales differ. I have plenty of restoration photos if you need any more info.
@petermackett37 Varetto made barrel organs as well, as did Bacigalupo, one of their organs is in Australia and was restored by Richard Ellis some years ago. I think Ben Varetto made books for Chiappa when he left the Varetto firm.

@ceredigio Yes,they were builder's of Barrel Pianos and Barrels as were several others such as Pasquale,Antonelli and Varetto.
