ok ive been reading these comments i was there i played the trumpet for dunbar and if u think me and my sister is some shit see us one on one and we will shoe u what we can do and we lined up like that cause it only like 8 of us....people dont like 2 practice me and my sister was there everyday even if it was just us thats loyalty i love what i do or band director

I grew up in the Arlington TX area and can remember when this band sounded much better than this. The mellophones are playing completely out of balance with the rest of the ensemble and the trumpets are constantly out of tune. I would work on balance and producing a better sound through the ensemble.
The band is Garbage. I couldn't stopped laughing when they sounded like everyone in the band was having a heart attack playing the beginning of Cold Hearted. Percussion was great though.
this was for the howard u homecomming jamboree when they played against us(bladensburg high school) and after hearing this i really fealt that we did really good
The Director is a Percussion instructor, i dont think he was hired to be a full band director. i could care less about dunbar HS band but thier drumline always been one of DCs top 3, and presicion since the 1880's ( Thats right i said 1880's .*1st historically black High school and one of the 2 1st high school Cadet band")
if they had a solid Tbone section, get rid of the mello, change the formation (Trumpets infront of Bones Btones in the back) and arrangments that fit the band (VSU arrangments isnt gona work)
If the Director had any sense (and I mean any sense)he would have kept them in the band room for practice, cause that was pretty bad. (And that's being nice)

Drumline only lost 2 compettions (1 2nd 1 3rd) out of 5-8 Compettions this year. they have the best record for Showstyle band drumlines.
