@JoNniixD It's just a 3d engine right now. The creators have just released a tech demo that comes with basic functionality. However, they also are creating a game based on the engine, which is currently in public alpha. Link to the site is in the description.
Thank you. I'm not part of the development team, just a huge fan of what they've been able to accomplish. I contacted the devs after I was playing around with the videos, and they were extremely supportive in the creation of this video. It was fun, taught me a lot, and I got to see and use a few unreleased video clips that no one else had seen yet :).
Hopefully, more will come in the future, as the engine continues to develop. I love doing this stuff!
It should be noted that the background sound effect is NOT part of the engine (currently), although that will be addressed soon (I hope). This was just a public domain sound effect I found an added to enhance the immersion a bit.
Glad you liked it then :). Cameni (his Outerra forum handle) sent me a response after seeing that scene with the sound effects: "I was looking for the seagulls!" Once they get sound effects into the engine, I think everyone is going to get lost in the beauty and immersion of the engine.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend joining up with the community. There are threads on the forums discussing a possible demo-game release, and the devs are asking for community input.
I've had flirtations with the gaming industry before, and in my research for a fractal world engine, so far this has been the most accepting community I've been a part of. They're great people, and I love logging in every day to see the next question or comment posted ... as well as awaiting the next awesome video :D.
You should post a comment to the "Introduce yourself" thread on the Off-Topic forum (darn Youtube's anti URL-in-posts crap).

These guys are going to make sort of a sandbox for this. Sort of like Garry's Mod for source engine, but for Outerra.

@cshawnsmith71 That doesn't matter to me, since I was amazed by the realistic graphics.
