1:05 "Tang Bao", meaning "soup bun", is strictly this restaurant's modern invention, inspired by a Cantonese dim sum item. To be eaten with a straw is conceptually and visually tacky and would not be caught dead of anyone in Hong Kong doing with any "Chinese" dish. It is not traditional.

this dumpling shop although authentic doesn't taste as good anymore, since they mainly target tourist and foreigners, you can find better dumplings in most local stores all around shanghai and for a lot cheaper too.

@dlwilliam u search xiao long bao~ u put gelatin in pork stock then mix with the meat thats how when u steam it it melts and makes a soup. use geltain . people think they inject soup.. its not. its gelatin aded to stock so it melts and creates a soup
