August 29th is really awkward for a Birthday. The last concert of the Beatles, the birth of John McCain, and a bunch of other bad events. At least I live in a non-hurricane area. Sympathies for all of those who lost their loved ones.
Hard to believe some people still blame the Government for the 1800 deaths even though they were warned for days to evacuate before Katrinas impending land fall.Such is the life of the government owes me crutch mentality.
It's not only "the government owes me." It's "everyone" owes me and "it's my right!"
The last two generations were brought up to believe they were all special and they'd all be millionaires, rock stars and Oscar winning actors when they grew up. Hard work was never mentioned. Reality being something else they now believe someone has to hand over the goods they were promised.
If I may add that the US government pumped billions on dollars into the State of Louisiana and the city of New Orleans to prepare for such a disaster. The money went somewhere else.
The Army engineers did build the levee's really shitty though, leaving huge gaps and most that were built were done under-standards. Not to mention the gun confiscation from lawful citizens.
Um.....Michael Jackson was born!

They should've added Micheal Jackson's Birthday in this video. I guess they don't add something till it's 2 years old news. :(
