Hmm, I think I'm going to stop watching this series now. I have to say I was expecting more from the gundam franchise. The animation is sub-par and has gone downhill from previous gundam installments, and the story coherence is really disappointing and unoriginal. Is this franchise dying a slow death or what is going on here?

@adziuk Ummm, I'd like to disagree with the animation quality degration, but I WILL mention that yes, the story has definitely lost its originality. How many teenagers are the japanese going to hire to pilot giant robots with weapons of mass destruction?

Worse yet, the choice of pilots in 00 couldn't be worse:

A gundam obsessed child to pilot 00.

An emotionally unstable military experiment.

And now we're getting REALLY low, when they hire a HOMOSEXUAL to fight along side these guys.WTF right?

i say the best story and best designs of gundams go to gundam 00. The designs are rather orginal since there all made from a gundam that was homage to the orginal gundam!! but the story and the gn drives and theorys and how 1 world united goverment would work was more real than sci fiction..

best gundam series in my opinion are... 1) OO gundam 2) mobile suit gundam 3) TURN A gundam 4) G gundam 5) gundam SEED destiny best short gundam series are 1) mobile suit gundam 083 stardust memory 2) mobile suit gundam 08th ms team 3) mobile suit gundam war in the pocket best gundam movie 1) chars counter attack 2) F91 gundam but in all honesty they are all good theres not one series i dont like

@13DJX13 i dunno i will admit that the other series dont compare to tominos original UC in grandeur and depth of plot but a lot if not all can carry a basic story through to the end quite well. the only one id say trully screws with it is seed but even that has its good points some very interesting and unique gundams (minus freedom and SF hey are absolute shite), very good fights, some very good characters shinn, athrun, mue etc only real issue with that series is the bias towards kira

yeah shinn is a far better protagonist has a much better reason to fight better personality not to mention a much more enjoyable fighting style and attitude to combat than kira :)
