basicly the plot is like this naked snake aka big boss is the best soldier in the world hehas twins liquid and solid cloned twins and a third solidus but f him anywaiz naked snake dies solid snake continues him and liquid dies and is in ocelots body so basicly mgs 4 is bout solid snake vs liquid in ocelots body and someone wants all power with nuclears or sumthing

....yh i think thats a simple plot explanation.......im getin mgs 4 tomoro cant wait :)

For me this was a huge disappointment. I guess i was maybe expecting to much? Shit..i was at least expecting the animations to be improved alittle. But when you walk around as Snake,it's like a stick-man is walking, it's exactly the same as the previous games, and there's just no excuse for that. This was the next gen we're talking about. I actually have yet to continue with MGS4 again, a long time ago i quit playing and never got back to it. For me, a big disappointment.

I'd recommend it - you can get The Twin Snakes for GameCube or the original for PS1, get HD Collection (which will be released soon), the PSP games, and then this one. At least that's what I think.

Earthbound sold horribly in North America, but it's still one of the greatest games of all time. Psychonauts sold poorly, but it too was awesome. That's why games like Metal Gear, Shadow of the Colossus, and Rayman: Origins (which actually have time and effort put into their creation) will always trump yearly cash cows like Call of Duty.

the only problem of the game is that you spent more time watching cutscenes then playing the actually game and thats lame, it goes against the Core of MGS when you spend hours travelling and thinking to kill silently now is like a more run and gun game it sucks a bit in this aspect

I love all the cutscenes on my first playthrough because I love the story, and I still watch them on subsequent playthroughs if it's been a while, the only time I skip them is when I have recently played through the game including watching the cutscenes. But I especially love all of it on the first playthrough.

Acts 1, 2 and 3 are ok, but acts 4 and 5 are really the parts that makes this game so great. The return to Shadow Moses is one of my best gaming experiences I have ever had. The moment you enter that area with the end song of MGS1 in the background is almost magical.
