on the a minor chord during the chorus, if you add a g instead of the a at the end (chord is a-c-e-g) it sounds a little more like the song, otherwise, this was really helpful

The Downward Spiral, the album in which the original Hurt was released on (Nine Inch Nails), was named 25th in Spin's 100 Greatest Albums from 1985-2005. So obviously this song WAS made famous by Trent Reznor...you just haven't heard it before because of your indiscresant
