  • the world needs this , very nice

  • Awesome !

  • Engine #3 didn't like that trick. I bet a 100 euros the pilot won't do that trick again with that engine.

  • pull up pull up terrain terrain !!!

  • why are there jets on a prop plane?

  • @rad4life1 because in troubled areas such in Iraq , Take Off and Landing are the most dangerous moments as the Aircrafts are vulnerable to AA Misses , so the Aircraft must climb up to a safe altitude in few seconds .

  • @rad4life1

Mainly because A C-130 Hercules is to heavy to take off like that without them.

Mind you, that's a 45 degree angle that thing's goin up on.

  • Tuning Aircraft??? WTF.... this is a Blue Angel aircraft

  • oooo Yes!!!

  • 5* great work!

  • like watching paint dry....

  • WOW.

    I love this VID....

    Well Done.

    5***** Stars

  • That plane is called Fat Albert. :) Part of the Blue Angels team.

  • Good Ol JATO (RATO) at work there! I thought he had stalled that bad boy for a minute there! Looked like it just wanted to nose dive back to planet earth

  • man i was getting ready for the thing to crash and burn!

  • lol wtf was that?

  • Those were Jato packs, dude. Jet Assisted Take Off. Back in the day (50's) the Buff (B-52) was so heavy with early generation nukes that even with eight engines it still needed four Jato packs on the wings to get into the air.

  • @LordFalconsword You may have that mistaken for the B 47 which has similarities to the B52 but only had six engines and nine JATO engines inside the aft section of the aircraft. The newer engines and high lift capability of the B-52 there was no need for JATO bottles.

  • @Silky182 Not a chance. I'm not that old. The B47 was out of service by the time I came around. A teacher of mine and relative both got me onto McCord when the Buffs were rotating through on the SAC dispersed airwing plan. Saw them take off using JATO one after another one awesome Sunday. Don't know if it was a drill or a live scamble, but it was still awesome. Afterwards got to ride with an aircrew as they retrieved the spent rockets and put out a small fire caused by one in a field!

  • @LordFalconsword No offense intended, but I have seen no record of jet assisted take off or rocket assisted take off for the B52. To add on to that, with a payload capacity of around 70,000 lbs and the heaviest weapon it carried (2x agm 28 hound dog 10,147 lbs) it would not have needed it. I don't know what you saw, but the numbers just don't add up for me.

  • lol JATO on Hercules

    *5

  • what the f...?!?!?! XD

  • I seen them do that at night... I thought the sucker was going to blow up.

  • very cool!! 5*

  • wow!
