  • not put a proper engine in it

  • is this stock?

  • @Troyyz250, dual cams are much different than single cams. Intake manifold design, higher redline and not to mention the extra valve per cylinder. More power, tourqe, and reliability. Ka24E is more similar to an L-series motor than a dual cam. Or a 22re haha! Ive built and ran both of these motors and the DE is far superior. Plus you can do a faster, longer drift with a higher redline. The DE also has a rev limiter which the single cam doesn't have. Single cams just float valves. RB>SR>KADE>KAE.

  • @MrS13slide AMEN!

  • Lsd, invest...

  • Welded if your a cheap ass.... Welded vs. LSD on drifting. wow..... I need to smoke dope in order to understand people.

  • whats the difference between a welded differential and a open differential? please answer

  • @800whpcivic

i dunno if someone answered this to u already or not....

but an open diff allows the wheels (rear) to move at different speeds during turns...

example... u make a left turn ur right wheel travels a longer distance... (i believe the power will only go to the outside wheel (right rear wheel))... a weldy will stop that from happening, both wheels will travel the same, and make the inside wheel "travel" the same distance as the outside... allowing for more fun :) hope tht helps

  • nice related vid....

  • yo instead of spending thousa nds of dollars on a diff

  • Are you retarded an Sr is very reliable, i know guys that run 400hp on stock bottom ends and there motors are 6 and 7 years old running formula drift competitions and a dual overhead is no better than a single overhead.

  • @Troyyz250 yea but single head will have you pushed off the track more.

  • @Birdcage67554 They are the same motor inside except one is dual over head cam, you dont know anything about 240s do you.

  • @Troyyz250 absolutely not lol please dont flame me....i wasnt being serious

  • @Birdcage67554 you obviously dont know anything about them either. An SR will out perform a dual cam anyday. It is much lighter and can produce more power. But i would take an RB over either of them. davybabyson and tefoalalau, Custco all the way if you got the money. But if your not getting sideways just go to your local junkyard, grab an automatic diff, and weld it. It's like a 30 minute swap if you got a lift.

  • KA24DE is where it at. Ka24E , and SR20 Blow up too easy.

  • ok so what you need is a 1.5 way vlsd. 2 ways are NOT superior. the problem with road racing on 2 ways and welded is that they lock on decel. do you wanna come into a corner, try to rev match and go into a slide? i dont think so but it is perfect if all you wanna do is drift. i say 1.5 viscous because it will lock hard on accel but it wont be so harsh on decel. thats what i have now and im doin the same thing, road racing/drifting/driving to work. its the best diff in my mind

  • fuck of cunt

  • ka24e...wins!! lol

  • what u waste of tires u dush

  • Дебил.Че я скажу.

  • haha u end up wearing out your driveline parts before you blow up the engine!

  • im thinkin bout weldin mine... how would one go about doin so?...

  • get a viscous

  • @yomaju214 haha Mines not a nissan... its a 2.3 T/C mustang.. with the stock 4 banger rear end... Peg leg most times

  • The car didn't blow up! Dislike!

  • you ass. i have a nissan hardbody with this engine, and cold air intake. i still cant get it to burn out even with the no bed weight. it might be the fact i have 30" tires on it tho... hm... haha

  • I would pull oveer and beat your ass if i knew you were trying to blow it up.

  • after doing 30 of those burnouts.. did the motor blow?

  • a lsd, limited slip diff or yea a welder and weld it

  • LIES! Everybody knows you can't blow up a KA without boost.

  • Don't get vlsd's fro drifitng. Get a 2-way LSD or if your poor like me, weld the spider gears in your open differential so both wheels spin as one

  • ka 24e blows dick after 4000 rpm the bastard starts coming apart fuck them i guess thats why 240sx sucked so much ass

  • @jfkyz125 you have never even driven a 240sx you are a real shithead we drive these because its something different from asshole civic owners like you we actually put work into our motor instead of puttin fag ass neons or subs in granted i have 2 10s in my s13 coupe but id love to see you try to drift you would probably crash

  • remove rear brakes lol

  • vicious lsd = both tires spinning

  • lol word

  • i just want both tires to spin what do i need?

  • a welder....

  • LSD

  • @davybabyson u need lsd limited slip differential

  • @davybabyson weld them spider gears together and your good to go

  • Stock LSD from Nissan will work

  • @davybabyson

if you just wanna do burn outs just get a limited slip differential, i think u can get one off a infinity j30 i went to pick and pull and i think it cost like 60 bucks not sure dough.

also ZINTOTHEBLUE319z, fucking!!! sick burn out on a ka

  • @davybabyson weld the diff or get LSD( limited slip Diff) so you can do a 2 wheel DEAL!!!

  • @davybabyson lsd or a welded diff.. welded is better for track use but not so good if you're going to be using it as a daily.. i'd personally go with the lsd for reliability and track use.

  • @davybabyson a positive diff

  • @davybabyson LSD will put the power to the wheels.

  • u dont deserve this car.. lol

  • @L1LJO3Y1313

    deserve??? its a pos anyway

  • Money well spent.

  • which one is better.. Welded or vlsd's?

  • depends what the application is for, Drifting? a welded is more predictable, for road racing an LSD would be better. but if you feel like dropping a grand a 2 way is superior

  • @zintotheblue319z well i wanna use my car 2 for drift but i still want to drive to college with it so what do you think thats the best for that? :p

  • @zintotheblue319z naaaa 1.5 is the all around best

  • @zintotheblue319z

ummm, depends on your engine, if your running a ka-e then welded would be fine. but if you have a turbo swap then a LSD would be better. BUT a VLSD depending on the KM is usually the same as an open diff. a VLSD uses fluid which breaks down after hard use for ~50K

  • @tefoalalau you can get your diff welded for 40 bucks to 80 bucks depending on where you go if you take the diff out yourself welded is deffinatly fun but you can say goodbye to tires and push starting your car if your on a curvy road but getting sideways in 5th in the rain is nuts

  • @hellsdeadjuggalo

wow.. k... thats it.. im getting a welded diff. Thanks hells.. vlsd's cost too much anyways.. Haha.. shoots

  • @tefoalalau i dunno if a single slammer will do it but my bro has an rb25 its only around 280 or 290 hp but it has no problem at all with those tires lol im actualy ooking at getting a 240 myself and doing an rb26 im looking at 10k in parts alone if i dont rebuild the motor though not including the cost of the car

  • i say vlsd's because there is a reason why cars have differentials on them. with a vlsd you can actually drive your car on a road without spinning out the inside tire. my friend got a welded diff on his 240 and its a hassle :P just my input on this

  • @crzyaznboy777 vlsd are unpredictable id get a 2 way limited slip i got a vlsd in my s13 and it kicks in after the corner some times so yo gotta be carful

  • @crzyaznboy777 vlsds are junk and don't last a month at the track. Also, like chronic said sometimes they don't lock up until it's too late. Just get a 2 way LSD.

  • @tefoalalau lsd is better cause it is still a differntial, if you weld it will lock compleatly and your slow speed turning will be greatly affected in a bad way.

  • @tefoalalau VLSD!!!

  • hahahaha open diff you suck get welded!!!!!!!

  • fordlightning is talking about the 91 truck not 240sx, they have same engine ka24e

  • @Cisco121490 did you just say that the ford lightning had a ka24e?

  • ka sohc aren't THAT bad, my buddies 91 nissan pickup beats alot of cars that have dohc, personally i was rather have a sr20det but the ka sohc have some rep points

  • the 91 comes dohc...

  • obviously not....bc its a sohc.

  • welded difs FTW

  • As an owner of a 5.0 Mustang and a Buick 455 wagon..I find it amazing what can be done with 130hp through 1 tire on a wet road. I find it even more amazing that anybody thinks this is anything but lame.

Where's the damn RB26 you keep talking about????

  • after that you needed some new shoes for that SOHC...

jk i got a slammed pignose as my dd lol i love it... dont wanna swap it yet lol

  • one wheeler peeler!

  • do 89-92 240sx's come with lsd?? or is it just the inside wheel that turns (single)

  • Its gotta be extremely rare but ya they come with it. I just haven't happen to see it on the almost 20 cars I've worked on or 3 I've owned I think the Hiccus ( i know i spelled it wrong) Should have came with it.

Best bet look for a J30t (touring) they have hicus and I think they are all lsd take the axles and it should swap in from what i read or get one from a silvia online.

also a 300zx 90s model will swap in again keep the axles. (non turbo) and everyone of those I see lsd

  • good thing it went Rb26 fag

  • @zintotheblue319z

    chill out man

  • What a horrible waste of a good car

  • single cams are good fun if you got the skill to work em. good to learn on!

  • Now why'd ya have to go and do that?

  • there not called the one cam wonder for nothing

  • lol

  • um wat does a single cam have to do with making smoke? lol

  • thats ALOT of smoke for a single cam!
