I would NEVER leave my baby alone for 20 mins. That child may really need you. Kids only cry when something is wrong, or when they need something. They need u to fix it. Grow a leaf of patience and help the baby. Stop being so concerned that you can't figure it out asap all the time.

What she means is that if the baby will not stop crying and youve tried everything, in order to stay calm and sane, put ur baby down in his crib that way you dont get stressed to the point where you would be angry at your baby and possibly shake or yell at them. My daughter was colic and I had to put her down sometimes to take a breather because you can't help crying yourself. It's not abandoning the baby and it would be cruel if you got aggressive with the baby because you didnt take a break.

There are several factors as to why the baby is crying, and as a parent we should be responsible enough to take care of our child's need, Babies cant speak if theyre hurt or hungry or uncomfortable, leaving the baby for 20 mins will not resolve the issue. That is just cruel. Attend to your baby first, if the baby is comfy and asleep, then thats the time for you to unwind and relax if you are stressed out. Do not abandon your baby and let him/her cry for 20 mins or so.

I've watched several of these videos and it's obvious that they were all filmed when the baby was either tired or hungry- except for the breastfeeding video when the baby was FULL and didn't want to eat!
