Sry to disappoint you but, Miku is suppose to be a girl. Gakupo played as a girl in the original. You can even look at the correct lyrics and storyline, and you'll see that the characters in it are both female.

I find it interesting that it's two girls, adds that extra element I think. If it was Gakupo, I don't think the story of the video would have had as much of an impact on me. Not that it wouldn't be good, but I feel there's a lot more subtext to the story the way it is now. The Gakupo version of the song is good too though ^^.
