Good teeth is a very American thing! Britain used to not care either.

Also, American dentists I think are more likely to say you have a problem and need braces, whereas European dentists will tell you it's not that severe and that braces are optional.

alot of people make fun and complain about japanese people's teeth, saying they are always yellow and crooked..im not 100% sure since i never walked up and stared into all their mouths, but from what i know i think it's a stupid rumour or whatever..their teeth look no different to ours..people should shoosh

Since the dentist, bracers and that stuff might not be free everywhere like here, people just tend to spend their money on other things... Crooked teeth usually work fine for chewing ^^

it's just that in general I think Asian people don't care as much about their teeth as European or North American people do. I have had a couple Japanese friends ask me why white people care so much about teeth and i can't give them a clear answer but in Britain a lot of people have horrible teeth so it's not really "white" people and i have noticed that in a lot of Asian music videos they now have straight white teeth so things are changing. it's an interesting topic though.

We do have a biting pressure machine in the states. I had to use one a week after having my wisdom teeth pulled. They needed to see if I was favoring one side of my mouth.
