when I was a teenager, my best friend had boyfriends, and they always had "their song." and I would say How can you do that? What about when you break up and you have to hear it?
Years later I got married. And in an obscure album somewhere (which belonged to my husband, which I'd never hear again) we found "our song." It's not your fault for posting it - it's my fault for searching. (He left in 95)
I'm off to look for Maybe The Rain Will Fall, now.
have all this man's albums and I am so proud to own them and all his cd's. I go and see him every time he comes to Dublin, Ireland and he tends to come here every two years or so since many years back. I have seen him maybe a dozen times or more and he just gets better and better. Love this wonderful artist...
What a beautiful mellow tenor voice he has. So soothing and smooth. I love his song selections and styles. They mean so much to me. Don Mclean is a true blessing
Excellent upload, with some incredible accompanying pix, just some really fine work. I could easily while away my days and nights listening to nothing but what is available of Don Mc Lean on You Tube, it is all fabulous! So, thanks for the upload homelesbrother, and long live Don Mc Lean!
love this song its a great album the title track was years ahead of it's time also liked "colour tv blues" and" the pattern is broken" off of the same album check out his first album "Tapestry" which also has some great tracks on it. thanks for posting this i've been listening to Don since the 70's thought I was alone in appreciating this brilliant singer song writer
God Bless you for posting this. Big Don McLean fan who grew up a bit after his heyday. Have heard 85% or more of his music, never got my hands on the Prime Time album. Many thanks. Gorgeous song. Rare gem indeed.

Wow thanks so much for uploading!
It's so difficult to find McLean's rarer stuff, oddly enough it's some of his best stuff.

@plumberjim1 If there was no-one else to listen to than Don, well, I could put up with that.
