  • Since the nuclear plant being assembled at Kudankulam is absolutely safe, it is better to dismantle and re-assemble it near Chennai or Bombay or Calcutta or even N.Delhi to feed the industries and major consumers. We can also avoid the line-losses amounting to 24% of what is generated (thieves). We can sell this technology obtained through an exclusive collaboration with the Martians, to US, UK, France, Japan, Germany and Russia. Also give battalion strong security to our GREAT scientists.

  • Expensive dangerous form of energy. India is missing out on the Energy Technology Revolution of Solar of the advanced countries. India is 20 years behind the West. Now jumping into the west's phased out dangerous nuclear power program, it will enter the dark ages, increasing it's cancer cases, running up mega big bills for uranium (which is scarce) big costs for foreign scientists as there are no indian nuclear scientists, big costs for decommissioning and waste handling and disposal. Stupid!

  • The establishment and proceedings of a nuclear power plant is always lacking transparency. Of course we cant expect it in such process. This only leads to corruption. Remember Bhopal accident. What is the reason for that ? Nuclear energy is not untouchable. But the technology in the current form is not good for use. It will have to evolve.

  • sure we need power plant that why iam saying is that nuclear reactor is inspected by our D.R abdul kalam.....he is a greatest boon to india....he never allow the project that harm the people and environment......AS iam a engineering student i searched in web about the construction of this powerplant........dr APJ is very clered about that it is high tech construction...so if project is succeded our electricity problem would be solved and more younsters are employed....so please support our ABJ..

  • Tamilnadu's electricity problem cannot be solved by this power plant. Why indian govt. is not thinking about solar energy, which is excessively available in our country. why they can't mandate solar panels in everyone's home. atleast 25% of power, we can get from this, if we do this. for 1000mw, do we have to kill generations in koodankulam. Are they not our own people? why tamilians are not united in this? think about your friends, relatives, your origin before supporting the power plant.

  • I Support the Koodamnkulam project and it should work sooner. The surroind peoples are innocent, some selfish leaders are mis leading these people against this koodamkulam project. Our Dr.Abdul kalam given statement that its is very safe and people dont want to afraid about this. So we need this plant to be generating power sooner.

  • @karthijais ...hello friend....do you know the medical consequences of this project?...kindly u do resrch and give ur opinion in on dis issue.....there r alternatives which can replace dis project......senseless, selfish and mad indians......

  • As a indian and a tamilian it is my full whole hearted support to kudankulam power project . Some cheap orphans in politics take this issue in hand and cheated the innocent people. both central and state govt should take a firm step to open the project without any delay

  • YES We support Nuclear Power. With Coal becoming expensive and all power projects comign to a halt - and solar and wind not being able to generate electricity for Mega Power generation - where is the electricity going to come from? From thin air??

I and 650 million Indians who have lived through power crises and load sheddings for 50 years are sick and tired of misinformed Indians who think electricity is magically generated!

WE DO NOT SUPPORT AGITATORS PROTESTOR of KOODANKULAM NUCLEAR PROJECT

  • @JaiHindArbhav That is uptoyou.

The sastra university had commissioned a 80KW generator fed by shit from the hostes and cowdung from the cowws for the hostel.

Yes believe electricity can come from the shit. need not from a western formula whichis going to strangulate. atomic bombs for which such a big risk o local population is taken.

The atom boms will sinkthe country whereit is stored. You can not dropit on Pakistan and definitely not on China.Long live India , Indians

  • @gthirunavukkarasu i pray you're a human - with your kind of reasoning - you sound like a moron!

  • @JaiHindArbhav Kinly accept the reality. The transmaission corridor could not evacuvate the wind energy power fully last year. How it can handle the excess2000Mw.Be sure you will not get the advantage.Advantage may be to Rajapakse and Kerala girid. 2.Powercuts will stayeven beyond 2016 as er eectricity board projections.Let us think of alternatives

3.Think of the huge ine loss when you transmit total of about 7000MW

It is wiser to think of local gebneration from bio mass

  • @gthirunavukkarasu The REALITY my friend - is that the Ultra High mega volt corridors are planned just to reduced TMC transmission losses and power evacuations from UMPPS and nuclear projects.

the excuse that we dont have evacuation capacity is as ridiculous as stating that people are dying of thirst because there aren't enough buckets to bring water from a river 300 metres away!!

Please talk sense! India needs power capacity - and strong will - not ridiculous excuses that keeps us in the dark

  • Rebuild mullaperiyar dam

  • what about mulaperiyar dam?

  • @jijo917 No questions.Damis ours and any encroachent had to be dealt properly by our Government.Sure they will do it/

  • people want current.....but they dnt want nuclear plant...funny

  • Yes, We sure need It. Some criminals are misleading the fishermen and the local people.

  • Why this people built their houses in earthquack possible region.

  • i oppose kknp, i d visited this plant during my college days it s looking like SA raja college building(ppl from ngl, tveli ll knw abt SA raja college building quality) and heard some news from the local constructor that it s build with sea sand to enchance its damn safety. its not for our development actually politicians are benefited from this project. they ve bought the failed project from russia and imposing it on us..kalpakam was some decade old and we were unaware at that time..

  • @thanmaanathamizhan i support u dear u r very correct,,,,,,,,,,all developed countries are dropping this project and adapting in to solar energy....v hv 2 find some other alternatives instead of following others......

  • All Tamil Nadu People are idiots !

  • how many hospital beds, nuclear emergency shelters, doctors, nurses, ambulances and other emergencies like masks, and protective gear do they have in that district?? ? is it enough?are we better prepared than Japan?how much food contamination they had and how did they solve??did any politician or scientific team from india visit and study the after effects and cost to japan economy?and clean up charges who pays?

  • @vidaripollen nice job

  • yes we are support

  • If it is only for improvement of india, why did you cancel west baengal nuclear plant ? we do not support Nuclear Power plant in Koodankulam

  • Each and every cancer specialist doctors are advised to check radiation level in their body once in six month, if the level is so high they will be advised to take necesary steps to reduce the level of radiation in their body by taking rest/ stop practising like this. and recently 300kms far from pukushima(japan ) some peoples were affected due to highlevel of radiation in their body.

First Manmohan singh should stop all those things doing for foreign countries favourism. he is pm for india

  • when we cross road we can meet accident, yes you also agree it is accident, not an incident. did you cross road when a 10wheel lorry is coming with a speed of 100km? Starting neuclear power plant is very danger than the accident. if accident happens we can die immediately. if affect us only not our next generation. If you have a chance to meet any surgical or medical oncologist please ask them. about radiation. then you talk.

  • @cooldheena1262

i don't know who r.u? i think u are well educated, and from decent family. i hope ur father mother every one will be educated, so, use decent word, it is only sharing of our views and thoughts. no one is idiots, or brilliant enough in this world. so when u want to share ur views and thoughts in a public forum, be decent, don't loose ur temper, u cannot do anything withme. even if you come in person. so be quite,

  • @skmcsen I have Removed it

  • @skmcsen Thank you. some words lost its ugliness when iworked with those guys.kindly bear with me. There is cry for atomic power.but kobar gas is advised by the fatherof the nation ;ofcourse forgotten. If Khadi and village industries commissionis given powers they can geerate electricity cheaper and and at the users'place.it is a colloosal waste to have mega powerplants.

  • why this project is not started in kerala, west bengal, we have non conventional energy, then why we are seeking neuclear energy? how many you went to kalpakkam and it near village pudupattinam, if any one want to visit please visit dr.pugazhendhi who is practising at pudupattinam? and ask about about how many people in pudupattinam suffering with radiation? please don't talk like our prime minister, he is only favour for russia and america, not for indian people.

  • the christian organizations read CIA block after so much money is invested???where is your common sense.even when you cross a road you can meet an accident,so are you crossing or not??????? think

  • People in and around kalpakkam nuclear power plant have faith in the safety arrangements provided. 'why then people of koodankulam area alone do not have faith in the safety arrangements provided there by scientists and experts in the field of safety arrangements? There is suspicion that the common people of koodankulam are misled by some unknown vested interests which are bent upon destroying India and making it a slave to some foreign vested interests

  • @shanmugavelmurugeson why this project is not started in kerala, west bengal, we have non conventional energy, then why we are seeking neuclear energy? how many you went to kalpakkam and it near village pudupattinam, if any one want to visit please visit dr.pugazhendhi who is practising at pudupattinam? and ask about about how many people in pudupattinam suffering with radiation? please don't talk like our prime minister, he is only favour for russia and america, not for indian people.

  • Many other states than Kerala and West Bengal have NPP. Even Gujarat, which is considered the best one in total India has 2 NPPs.

  • @cooldheena1262 Today about 60 nuclear plants arevgetting built !!!!!!

but not a single one in Amerika r europe, australia Why? Why so uch powercuts in Tamilnadu. What sis the installed capacity and what is the maximum demand.Dont you know something is fishy.Make the best out of investments made. You dont do it.You attract dangerous investments ..Why.Is there sufficient transmission corridoer to clear thuththukkudi thermal, the windfarms at a time? wwhat to do with these 2000MW?

  • Yes,we all should suport for nuclear power as it is a clean source of energy. For a developing country like as need energy which we can get from nuclear only.We can see our Nuclear plant are much safer than any other plant in the industrial sector ,after sunami and earthquake also our nuclear plant were safe.So my opinion is that don't listen to the few person those who are opposing for getting publicity without having a knowledge of Nuclear Plant.

  • Yes , We need Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant Project
