  • DILDO FIGHT!

  • hahaha, I love this its just one old Japanese dude handing a bunch of teen their asses on a platter

  • ....And what was that funny hat the man in the orange sweater was wearing!!?? That made me laugh hahaha

  • yeah we joke around when we make a video.

we are still around every thursday night. visit us when you are here in tokyo. you are most welcomed.

  • This stuff is great!! I started doing it in america about 2 years ago after losing a bit of vigor in my Kendo. Chanbara energizes my kendo, and my kendo grounds my chanbara :) I plan on being in Tokyo next year, I wonder if these men are still around for me to go and visit while I am there? I could bring the choken we use in america, they are a little more stiff and a bit heavier and dont whip as much.

  • this looks really fun, i dont know why my kendo/chanbara friend says eskrima looks like neanderthal swordsmanship when this looks similar to fma. anyway, it was fun to watch :D

  • It's even more fun to do. I teach FMA and some folks do look like Neanderthals. There are some excellent exchanges in here and there are FMA folks who would do darn near the same sans the set up. The focus in Chanbara is to hit with out being hit - the same as any blade practitioner. Some FMA is impact focused so they are willing to take and trade hits which produces very different exchanges. You should play with your friends group if they allow it. You and they will improve if you are open.

  • yeah, hitting without being hit. we strike the closest target to us so it is very similar like u say.

  • What has this got to do with asian dub foundation

  • aaaaa....i like ADF.

  • i think the sticks are too wobbly... but looks fun!

  • no. it aint. its called sports chanbara. sword is made from tube and skin, its inflatable. and the sword's weight is about half of whats used in kendo. lighter weight, more fast response requires. does not hurt as much, get bruised though. this sports requires less preparation compare to kendo in regards to wardrobe. helmet and sword. if you ever swing by tokyo, visit us with your t-shirts. lets play.

  • is this kendo ? it looks good...
