I pioneered a move in Doom.

You run through a door with your opponent real close behind.

The exact moment you go through the door, you side step, 'strafe' I think it was called,

and then go backwards.

While your hapless pursuer is frantically trying figure out where you disappeared to you are busy shooting him in the back.

I used that move many times before they worked out what I was doing.

Back when I was playing this game I had a 25mHZ computer. It had a button on the front to reduce it's speed to 16mHZ. I never figured out why.

My mates had 50 and 100mHZ machines that had maths co-processors. Was that important for this game? I'll never know.

The only way I could get a half decent frame rate was to reduce the screen size down to its minimum.

They all played at full screen and at a way better frame rate I was getting.

I kicked their asses. If I saw a green dot I shot at it.

To summon monsters:

Friendly monsters (Will attack other monsters): summonfriend + Actor Name

Enemy monsters (Will attack you):

summon + Actor Name

If I wanted to summon a friendly demon, I would type:

summonfriend demon

If I wanted to summon an enemy demon, I would type:

summon demon

If you got ZDoom, it's a cheat. there are also mods of these for other source ports. The three levels you mentioned are from a different game which works with the same engine called Heretic. the cheat could also be applied to it.

If you have TNT: Evilution get to level 15 (the one I start at) and look in the video to see where i am going for the secret level (Level 31 Pharaoh).

if you're playing on the PC, then for standard cheats just type the code during gameplay, for source port cheats lower the console (default key in ZDoom & GZDoom is ~) type the code and press enter.

On nightmare, cheats won't work if you don't play with a source port...

Source ports let you play DOOM with enhancment and extra options but just like the original and through windows (rater than DOS).

Examples: ZDoom, GZDoom, Vanilla Doom, Skulltag...

ZDoom is a sorce port, it allows you to play doom with certain enhancments and extra options and without forcing you to run it via DOS. there are others like GZDoom, Vanilla Doom, Skulltag, etc.

i restarted it and typed it in a few thousand times (with and without caps). it just says unknown command "sv_fastweapons" which means that its a bad command instead of it not allowing it to work. do you need any other files for it to work properly?

You need to type sv_fastweapons # (#= 0,1 or 2), not sv_fastweapons alone.

Type sv_fastweapons, space, Number between 0 and 2.

If that's what you did than I dont have any idea what's wrong- try to see if there's a newer version of ZDoom available.

If u type freeze, you can actually freeze gameplay around you, you shoot some rockets and they remain in their place till you Unfreeze the game..

Talkin about a rocket barrage.. Mwahahahaha...

Try this for freezing fun- take a powerful weapon- Super Shotgun, Plasma Gun, BFG or Rocket Launcher, type Freeze, and circle-strafe a monster so that it is surrounded by multiple layers of projectiles. Now step back, unfreeze and enjoy the effect (Even more impressive when using super weapons).

Hey, i have a problem with my GZDoom, i don't know if u can help me.

Il be honest, i downloaded it, but it seems it doesnt recoignise any textures at all, it looks like im in a completely white room.

It recoignises the level layout and strucutre (Walls, Steps Etc..), but it doesn't have textures.

What i can do?

I'm not sure its a GZDoom problem, it may be the textures themselves, but i'm no expert in editing doom so you should find someone who knows better.

Yes, but if you have more than 100 health and hit iddqd you will become invulnerable but fall back to 100 health.

the "god" cheat doesn't work if you don't use a source port. in ZDoom you can open the console and hit God and become invulnerable with the same health you had before cheating.
