what is draft?

A draft is where 8 people each get 3 booster packs a piece. Each player opens a pack, choses a card from it and passes it to the person to their left. Then picks up that pile and choses a card from it and repeats this prosses until the cards are gone. With the second pack do the same but this time pass to the right, and the 3rd pack the the left again. Then each person with the cards they drafted makes a 40 deck and people play with those decks.

Also the deck doesn't have to be 40 cards but it is best to keep it at 40. (23 spells, 17 lands.)

@Alicabob it really matters what format it is, sometimes you only need like 16 lands, sometime you need up to 20

As far as recent drafts go, (Shadowmoor and Eventide), the best color combo is green/red. Using Giantbaiting to surprise opponents has won me top 3 spots in recent Shadowmoor/Eventide drafts.

Any color combination can make a good deck, although some are stronger than others.

Thats what draft is redman. I find draft a lot of fun and fair for everyone. You just need to get lucky with what you get in your packs.

yeah i like slivers ok I mean great creature definetly sets u up to win but the stratagey is a bit of a bitch tactic if u will in short it makes it to easy to win god I want to play all u magic people keep your fingers crossed that this storm won't hit us to hard

i remember i went to a competition just at my local game store and i was going againts my friend and he had a sliver but i used lots of charge counters to kick his ass. If ur gonna use a sliver, be sure u have a plan and u have to know how to use it. Its great if u can use it properly

Slivers aren't good at all unless you have more then one.

I am constructing a sliver deck.

I have 24 lands, 4 of which are terramorphic expanse, 8 forest, 7 plains and 5 island. And the rest are all slivers except for 4 Sakura-Tribe Elder. Any suggestions to improve my deck?

I would take out plated slivers and add four watcher slivers. take out one quick sliver, one psionic sliver, one ward sliver, and one shifting sliver and add four Gemhide slivers.

Also...If you are going three color sliver then I sugest the deck that is in Even Erwins video "The Magic Show #38". Its one of the best Sliver decks I have seen in a while and it is very very exsplosive! Note: That deck

Good list. I think that would work pretty well actually. Allthogh, personally I would drop out a fungus sliver and one psionic sliver in favor of more winged slivers. It's always a good idea to get your slivers airborne ASAP, especially if you want a proper aggro sliver deck.

Well when you think about it, it's going to be ideal for them to draft slivers, i'm surprised there hasn't been any slivers that were hate drafted. I mean passing up an Essence Sliver to your neighbor who you know is going deep into the Sliver theme is just nailing your own casket. Then again when you think about it, sliver is easy to draft as well as play.
