My friends daughter goes to school up there. She also is going for her instrument IA rating so we figured it would be good for her to experience IMC for the first time.
Bet THAT was a bumpy flight. =] Flew through Hurricane Alicia in '83 ... burrrp. Never again. LOL Thanks for taking me along - love to fly. Just can't afford it anymore: you won't trade five stars for miles, would ya? Shoot. That would get me to Crowley (next town north). LOL!
What did you fly up there for? Looked like an interesting flight.

Actually, quite the contrary.
Going up to Oxford, air was glassy smooth
Coming back to Madison MS, on the clouds, it was remarkably smooth until 5 minutes before breakout out of the rain band.
Once I hit that transition zone and remained in the clear, the air got quite bumpy. Not terribly bad, but not "hands off the yoke" flying.
