WOW.. i was a scrub playin unranked matches then i saw these 5 videos about North/South running and i played online and got:

95 yrds rushing 1td 5.0 ypc 19 att with RB#1

54 yrds rushing 9att 6.0 ypc with RB#2

and 21 yrds on 2 att with FB

Not so much. Remember, when the opponent blitzes, their players engage blocks faster. This in turn, lets you see the whole quicker and you can get to the 2nd & 3rd level faster. Make sure to use formations that make it hard for the defense to penetrate during blitzes (Single Back Double TE, I-Form, etc).

North South running is effective especially in a single back formation because that puts more offensive lineman on the ball which can open up multiple holes for you which gives your RB plenty of options... Best tip ever HOLDING ON TO THE FOOTBALL! LOL that really makes a difference between losing a game and winning!

u cant tell from running 3 tight ends against "random play" because they will come out in quarter sometimes. on pc version u can run against random play from specific formation such as goaline or 4-6 which woukd be approptiate for 3 te set.

i got to say first mayne..great vid..but viewers who are watching this for online play may have problems because on practice the comp. AI makes no adjustments to d-line or lb pinches or slide movements...so take what Zihin tells you and and adjust to what in-play audibles your opponent makes....

Yeh, of course, there are other things that could've been mentioned. The point of the video tutorials is to (1)give some basic to advanced tips (no showing every trick in the book but showing enough) so that (2)gamers can take what they've seen, (3)apply the tips to what they already know, (4)and formulate their own strategy/style of play.

how do i run against against 4-3 under engage 8 show blitz crash/pinch d-line in. nickel 3-3-5 de contain crash/pinch d-line blitz all lbs spread lbs. 3-4 even de contain blitz lbs pinch/crash d-line. yea i sometimes hit that problem during online games...you got to have a well rounded game..if the homie is dedicated to run-stop than you got to be able to pass...for me i run to open up routes for passing (play action types or zone-buster routes)..but sometimes passsing out of run formations is the best way to loosen a defense up...good luck..

I play online alot. What do you think about Joseph Addai? I run all over defenses with that boy. Like you said, If you cant stop the run, you can't win. There are times when I'll throw the ball only 10-15 times. Give the ball to Addai 30 times. What a Beast!

Wouldn't be very realistic if players didnt fumble, now would it? Fumbles will occur. It happens in real-life and in Madden. Nevertheless, the video tutorials help you "decrease" the amount of times you fumble and show ways to limit that from happening.

No flaw in 3TE set or any set, for that matter. In these video tutorials, SingleBack, Pro-Set I, I-Form, and more are used. It's not the play set but it's how you execute the play/run that gets you yards. Part VI shows an entire, scoring drive of runs in different sets/formations.

You've probably played Madden 08 a lot more than I have, but I've been trying to protect the ball on the run w/o turbo and it seems to slow me down too much. I've had more success slowing down and using turbo IMMEDIATELY as I find a hole in the defense rather than not using turbo at all to protect the ball. Even if I turbo like crazy on the run, I rarely fumble, although maybe I'm just getting lucky, I don't know.

I showed to cover the ball when the situation calls for it. Most people get into traffic, get hit, and fumble because they dont cover the ball when it's needed. And yes, sometimes the RB will fumble for just sneezing...quite annoying.
