I think some things should be state owned. Very few things however. Not only does private companies save tax but it creates wealth. For a start, there is no "far-left" in parliament. At all.
Secondly, under Old Labour, unemployment was minimal due to nationalised companies. It was privatisation by Thatcher that created unemployment, not Labour.
And unemployment wasn't "caused" by New Labour either. It was caused due to private companies and their greed.
And how the left are "more cruel" is beyond me. Free healthcare, free education, jobs, a welfare system. How sick.

Second, the closest thing we have had to capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other political system, ever! It is more important about what you achieve by the process. Private companies do not leech off the taxpayer, but enabling all of our assets to be sold abroad has weakened our economy in the long run and made us too dependent on our service sector, like the banks. The Germans have done the right thing and kept industry alive in the country

I think some things should be state owned. Very few things however. Not only does private companies save tax but it creates wealth. Every socialist job created is dependant on the wealth created from the private sector (or DEBT).We have far too much and the state ofthis country is one of the results to that.

@Overfiend002 Private companies can spend money at home just as easily as the public sector, The problem is if the public sector fails they just pump more money into it because which evere politician that thought up the idea to make that service public cannot admit to being wrong. Often a politican has no idea about the world/economy and thinks up ideas which sound nice but just dont work. If the public sector fails then it goes bust...so it has to provide a good service

1. Investment into the former East Germany
2. Investment into East Berlin
3. Prevent the former socialist republics such as Czech Republic Slovakia (then unified), Poland and that other country.
