@powerofthroughts That so-called "prick" won the Nobel Peace Prize, the Gandhi Peace Prize, the Sydney Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Pacem in Terris Award, and the Albert Schweitzer Prize of Humanitarianism while you're here just wasting your life.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his male partner: and they shall be one flesh (Genesis 2:24 from The New Tutu version of the Bible)
Fantastic quotation amidst a sea of extremist, right-wing nutjobs taking this book literally when it suits their ends, and ignoring the portions that do not.
@Aaberg123 watch the entire documentary so you can see what they say about taking the bible literally, you being religious or atheist. there will be an explanation about how the word "abomination" is not meant to mean something "disgusting" but only "unnatural", and also that "unnatural" was not the opposite of "natural", but the opposite of "not expected", which, finally, meant that the jewish community back in that time needed men to get involved with women, so that the "culture" could go on.
@Aaberg123 It calls it תֹּועֵבָה (To'evah) which does NOT mean abomination as an intrinsic evil. The same hebrew word is used in many other contexts where it is quite clear that it doesn't mean what we would call 'abominable'.
I can't believe such simple words brought a tear to my eye.

never forget that the same book of the bible also calls eating shellfish an "abomination," and I dont see any church groups condemning Red Lobsters.

Finally! A prominent and reasonable religious stance on homosexuality.

Sucks that he, according to YOUR book, calls them an abomination. Moron.
