I've read the Bible (not cover to cover - I doubt many have) but I have read sufficient to know that it is a mixture of fairy tales and immoral teachings (or do you believe children deserve death by stoning for being disobedient to their parents?). I've read the New Testament cover to cover. Much is plagiarised from older religions and much is as immoral as the Old Testament.

When catholics talk about re-unifying christianity, they do not talk about allowing divorce, same-sex marriage and women working as priests. Many lutherans believe that Iesus was nothing else than a special man, a profet. That is to say, many lutherans pray to God, but not to Iesus, while catholics pray to Iesus, who is God. How can you unify these two religions? I hate catholic arrogance.

@dani1978el We're not talking about Protestantism. We're talking about, specifically, the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, and the Orthodox Church coming to full communion with eachother. I agree with you that it would be practically impossible to unite the Protestant churches with the Catholic church. Their dogmas are just different. However, Catholic, Anglican, and Orthodox doctrines are similar enough that full communion is deffinitley possible, although with some compromises.

It is my hope that in my children's lifetime, the RCC, AC and Orthodox Church (all of the various ethnicities) will be ONE HOLY APOSTOLIC CHURCH, with ONE LEADER...
