The fact is that there was plenty of land for all to live in peace in what was then a sparsely populated country. All could have lived and worked together in prosperity but it was the Arabs who chose violence because the wanted it all. Most so-called "Palestinians" aren't even indigenous to that area and came from other Arab countries. And no one uses the Holocaust to justify anything. This conflict started way before that.

Many Arabs & Turks did sell their homes to Jews in the early days and not long after they started massacring Jews. So Jews began defending themselves and fighting for the lives land land. They were perfectly willing to accept the partition plan but, again, it was the Arabs who would not accept this and waged wars instead. They gambled with what they had to get it all - and lost.
