Unless they created a point singularity with the mass of a small sun, which they didn't because the Earth is still here, the ship would have only been invisible to radar detection systems.
You have used pics from a film that debunks this mythical story. The Eldridge lived out it's life in Russia.The whole story comes from the secret base they had in WWI that degaussed vessels so they would be "invisible" to magnetic mines. Degaussing was a new technology back then
