It's for sure a Dreadnought of some sort. It's a signature model (there's a signature on the 20th fret). It looks loosely based off of a HD-28 except the one he's using has butterbean tuning keys. He has a couple of his own Signature Model Martins but they're both OM models.
No, it's not a Dave Matthews Sig. Model. His has a wedge of some kind of African wood in the headstock. This guitar in the video clearly does not have that.

john mayer is an inspiration, he left school and worked in a petrol garage to raise money for his first guitar. his parents didn't really take his music seriously but he did and look at him now!

Left school? He graduated Highschool....he however didnt graduate from berklee. learned what he needed then left and made it on his own.

Sorry. by 'left school', i actually meant that he left high school (at the end of it, having graduated) and then didn't continue on to any forms of higher education!
Bought himself his first guitar aged 18 having saved up the money.

It's for sure a Dreadnought of some sort. It's a signature model (there's a signature on the 20th fret). It looks loosely based off of a HD-28 except the one he's using has butterbean tuning keys. He has a couple of his own Signature Model Martins but they're both OM models.

No, it's not a Dave Matthews Sig. Model. His has a wedge of some kind of African wood in the headstock. This guitar in the video clearly does not have that.

ops. Yes, it is a Dave Matthews. From the reflection of the lights I didn't see the contrast of wood in the headstock. It's a Martin DM3MD.
