Robert is much better bassist than Jason, he has more technique and skill to play. Proof of this is that Jason could never do that For Whom the Bell Tolls desent be heard, like Orion and The Call of Ktulu.

Robert has also contributed more to compose songs on Death Magnetic, than what Jason did on 4 discs with Metallica. I am a bass player and personally I like the playing of Newsted, but Trujillo is actually better, despite his ridiculous.
