My ps3 fat broke after 3 years, and all my friends had their ps3 break at around similar time too. yet, PC's, gaming PC's, and my Mac can last 6 years. Why the fuck does my mac, that i use for MANY things, i NEVER TURNED OFF IN MY LIFE, and can play games better than the ps3 DOESNT BREAK IN 6 YEARS?!?!! WHY? CAUSE MICROSOFT AND SONY MADE THEIR SYSTEMS LIKE THIS ON PURPOSE! CAUSE THEY KNOW YOULL RE BUY IT!!
The only time choosing a console was a dilemma was in the 90's. Nowadays, both consoles are essentially the same, with a few deviations of exclusives, and online support. Not like exclusives nowadays have huge replay value, and people just play CoD(popular example) majority of the time, which is on both consoles.
tl;dr, You're still getting the same thing out of both.
I was tempted to buy a referbed 360 from GameStop for 100, but I knewe there was a chance of an RROD so I said "No, I'll get the newer version of the 360, so it won't RROD." BEST CHOISE EVER!!!!!!!!!

Three days of it not working and then, out of the blue, it's fine again? I guess I can just consider myself lucky and leave it at that.
Xbox 360+ Heatsink=3/4/5 years of perfect working, I mean, The 360 nearly doesn't have any cooling, you need to give it room and put a heatsink on it or a desktop fan, It can work flawlessly, k? just take my advice.

More Xbox units were damaged. PS3 only had few. And was because they didn't take care of them like proper ventilation.
Xbox live is good and all. But is it was it worth paying 60$ when PS3 has free online Multi-Player. No.
What Xbox has is a huge menu clusttered all together. It really confuses me. I prefer PSN. Much more easy to access. Plus i like how some themes are free.
And who said Sony Playstation can't do that? Oh yes they can alright. So PSN is better and free.

The only time choosing a console was a dilemma was in the 90's. Nowadays, both consoles are essentially the same, with a few deviations of exclusives, and online support. Not like exclusives nowadays have huge replay value, and people just play CoD(popular example) majority of the time, which is on both consoles.

I own a PS3 for a while and I've never had a problem, but I want to get a 360 to play some of their great exclusives like the Gears series, Halo Reach and Alan Wake.

I've had my xbox for two years. I only got the ring of death once. Which, oddly enough, was fixed just by switching it off and on after three days of the ring of death. Three days of it not working and then, out of the blue, it's fine again? I guess I can just consider myself lucky and leave it at that.
