This is my favorite song. I have true democracy on vinyl. My mom used to listen to it when I was very young. Now I love them!! I can listen to them all day! I went to my first steel pulse concert last week. It was great! loved it!

This song is so true. I don't think people can truly understand this song "Closer to God we Africans. In our hearts is Mt Zion. Know you know see the lion". My mom made me remember this song when I was little and I am Grateful. It taught me what it means to be the strong and proud black man I am today. Thanks for the post. I do remember when we used to dress like Kings. I look in the mirror everyday so I know what a King I am.
