shut it chi chi man the mantis is dead you flump. like i said before get to specsavers n throw that vivitar camera in the bin.... its no good at filmin UFOs
What is the exact species of this? I have a mystery mantis that could be in genus Rhombodera, but is so far unidentified. The shape of the pronotum and abdomen on my mantis is similar to the one in this video. The way they both move are exactly the same and their strikes are very similar - both my mystery mantis and the mantis in this video emit an audible click when catching something.
onl for certain ones, africans , giant asians and budwings are few of the commonly kept mantids that can eat anything small enough, g.asians have been known to eat hummingbirds!
The point was that maggots and worms are one big piece of shit - you let P. wahlbergii, or any Empusidae munch on waxworms from time to time, they might turn out infertile or even die. Furthermore flying insects are a always a safe bet for EVERY mantis species.
i know they kill empusidae but they are fine for these and can be used for a staple diet and still be fertile for multiple matings all of mine eat non flying food (exept ghosts and violins) and i have bred lots and lots
I love how it gets all strategic, tactical, and stealthy when its trying to hunt a fucking meal worm. LOL its a mealworm ffs

On google I found a trio of egg sacs for $14 USD, you can get around 600 to hatch, and end up with a few dozen growing to adults

Do not feed it with worms too much - flying insects are the best type of food for each mantis.
