2:32 was lol, his foot was blocking his paws' efforts xD Like how cats both grab things and kick them away at the same time. What a clever cutie! It was so gratifying seeing him pushing the box omg ^^ ADORABLE. It doesn't guarantee that giving an animal a hint means he will understand it. I love how he placed himself in the drawer instead of grabbing the mouse out xD Still can't believe Maru is 5.5kg.. My 9.3 kg cat doesn't look so chubby! Maybe cos of his short fur...?

only the extreme scottish folds do. they're basically bred to have cartilage problems and as a result some will have folded ears and short legs... as well as horrible joint problems in the legs, spine and tail. maru's lucky and doesn't seem to have all the nasty side effects of scottish fold breeding... just has the really rounded (and CUTE) features and a lovely disposition ^_^ the genes involved in such features won't show up in all cats, as you can see with maru and his lovely ears :]

i love maru but he definitely did not know what he was doing when he was pushing the drawer from the back. otherwise he wouldn't have pushed it so unnecessarily far out. also when he was biting it and trying to get in from the back - he still thought he needed to get inside, he didn't realize the mouse was exposed at the front now. even when he went around to the front, he didn't realize the top of the drawer was open until a few moments passed. but he is still the best! just not a genius.

I love Maru, but I'm sure a raccoon could have opened the second drawer without any hints and in less than 5 minutes.

At least Maru redeemed himself by using his head to push open the drawer. I actually cried out, "Smart kitty!" Then I wasn't so sure when he paused and looked like he lost interest in the mouse. Still, he found the mouse so...smart kitty for sure!
