I've shot a stock Charles Daly gov't 1911 a couple weeks ago. After 40 rounds I could feel my wrists getting annoyed. After 80 rounds on the hk45c my wrists felt as if I haven't even been shooting. It shoots very soft for a .45 only slightly moreso than my 9mm. A good handle on this pistol makes the recoil unremarkable. Very nice to shoot.
uspc is no good for u, u need this shit isnt it ur wrist is annoyed, cause gape instead shoting, and tell everbody recoil is better than full metal 1911 and u can shot faster. amer looser

My wrists are thin.

Unless you're shooting steel with steel, the chance of a ricochet coming right back is almost nothing... They were being perfectly safe.

@rhodesnow yes, there's a special threaded barrel you can purchase which allows you to do that. last time i looked the barrel was around $300.
