I think that people of my age group should listen to some music from the 80's and become inspired to create better music for today. A lot of today's music is truly missing something...

Just because something is "old" doesn't mean you can't make the "new" just as good as the old was. I'm sick of hearing swears in every single song I hear on the radio. I listen to 80's, and I hardly ever hear one.

I may be only 18, but now I see why my parent's generation was so much happier.

@Nellofoxy BBC 6 Music, NME, Classic FM all play music that isn't formulaic watered-down commercial rubbish. Just stay away from chart-slave radio stations and you'll find plenty of creative modern musicians. To be honest Yazoo is pretty formulaic, you know something's formulaic because you can tell which decade it was made in because it follows 'rules' of pop of that decade. This just happens to be a formula I like, but it's still a guilty pleasure, it's no Pink Floyd is it ;)
