The backing singer is Adele Bertei. Last time I looked her up she was singin with Anubian Lights. That was like 2006. She's in her 40s, but still very pretty and attractive, and she's still into alternative sounds. I think she's German, lives in LA now.

i'm not sure whether someones opinion as to the backing singers attractiveness is ettential reading or important! anyway, the bass line is a backing tape but matthew seligman(who played the recorded bass) is there playing accoustic guitar. track taken from the flat earth album. check it out, and his first album the golden age of wireless. both different but excellent.

It was a thing at the BBC, about the 'catchiness' of new songs. Some of the older staff were known as 'greys' and if they were heard to whistle a particular track it was known to have passed the 'old grey whistle test.'
