Workers are seperated from their product by the system, the workers have NO control, they're poorly represented [because of lobbying by large corporations in the name of profit], manufacturing is mostly outsourced when the workers start unionizing. I used the flag because I'm a communist, the band itself is not out right socialist but has a lot of communist undertones and views, also the opposite capitalism is communism and this song is about how the Capitalist American system of voting does not work. It felt appropriate.

When november rolls around, im not going to the polls to decide between the walmart party or the k-mart party. Thought a good communist would realise that. As for the "twin oaks community" , they are a commune, not a communist entity, they regularly sell, for profit at markets and to retail stores all over the area around them.
