  • where can I do my character? (3ds max or another program?) do I need to do the animation or they are pre-configrated?

  • @TheMoreiraJoao Make your character in any 3D modelling program and just export them into UDK. The animations in UDK will work with your character as long as you follow the tutorial.

  • @UnrealMasterCom What program is this that you are using to make the models in the video?

  • @TheMoreiraJoao You said "do my character..." (Butt-Head laugh) Yeah baby... (Butt-Head laugh) Come to Butt-head for your digital pleasure... (Butt-Head laugh) I rule...

  • @paul19781105 so? I'm not english and I didn't have any classes in English .. The comment was not directed to you,

  • Can you direct me to the tutorial for rigging? I tried using the male rig from the UDK site, but I think it doesn't work quite right and is missing some bones. I've been looking for a Maya skeleton, but haven't had any luck.

  • @zerdsword Hi, I'm afraid I cant provide you with a link to the rigging tutorial I used as it's a private one for our university. However theres many good ones here on youtube

  • SKYRIM

  • really nice tutorial. Just watching for fun though because I don't know how to even make a proper character mesh in maya. But I will bookmark THIS!

  • UnrealMasterPom

  • When I export the the mesh from Maya to UDK it turns out OK, until I apply the anims for on it. The mesh becomes contorted on the hips and the feet are were the shoulders are. Any Idea why this is happening. My rig seems fine as far as the bone names go so I'm completely lost.

  • @chidede Whats happening is that when you've weight painted your mesh you'l have painted some of the vertices to the wrong bones.

I find it helpful to leave UDK open with the mesh on a running animation whilst you try to fix the weightpainting as from this you can see where the problems are occuring.

  • Dude never assume that people already know things thats why people look for tutorials, you should probably make one where you set up the materials thing.

  • Hello, Please I need some help...

When I type in the mell: axmain and gonna to save the, it says: ERROR: FAILED to find a root bone."

    Can you help me please?

  • @NecroTeckMusikArts Reimport the skeleton and rig it, a bit of a pain I know, but you've ended up deleting the rootbone proberbly?

  • @UnrealMasterCom how can Do it? Please I am new at actorX and Maya, because I installed ActorX and Maya yesterday, so I dont know how to do it, can you help me, or can you make a shot video how to do this?

If you got skype or MSN please add me:

    Skype: mr.lol14

    MSN: said.mosau@web.de

Thanks... :) I'm gonna subscirbe your channel, because you make good tut's :)

  • @NecroTeckMusikArts if you google 'how to rig in maya' watch the wonderhowto 20min tutorial, that should show you how to rig.

You'll need to UT3 skeleton found from google
