there are no words to dress the wound in this young boy's heart. and sadly this is but one scenario, one tragedy, in an endless sea of needles tragedies that this war has spawned. the enormity of that picture transcends understanding.

what have we gained as the result of the wholesale suffering of people on both sides of the line? are we safer? has the world been made a better place for the supreme sacrifices that have been made?
