  • The std tb does not dictate the power, it only limits it around the 150-mark only if the rest of the engine is up to it.

  • Se cranen 284 pelas ihan ok, tosin sen kiukumpaa ei kannata vakio ruiskun kanssa pistää, tyhjäkäynti alkaa olla tuskaa pitkillä aukioloilla ja vakio maffilla. Vakio rutulla ei kannata pistää sen 134:n kummempaa nokkaa. Mieto nokka+puristus ylös+hyvä kansi+kaasarit on hyvä perussetti kadulle. Kansi on kallein pala mutta ehdoton jos voimaa ja ajettavuutta haluaa. Kosunen tekee mulle kaikki porttaukset.

  • Asiallisia Capreja sulla... Kuulostaa ihan hyviltä numeroilta tommosesta ruisku-oharista. Ellei sitten oo ruisku vaihdettu johonkin säädettävään? Mitä tolle koneelle on tehty? Rikkaalla ainakin näyttäs käyvän :)

  • Tossa versiossa oli Perfect Powerin SMT6 piggy pakki ja orkkis ilmamäärämittari korvattu mappianturilla. Penkissä säädetty, rajottaja pätki sytkää 6250rpm ja siitä mustat pölläykset. orkkis ruiskulla tuli 140hp/200nm, tällä viimosella versiolla 150hp/220nm.

  • Ok, arvelinkin et vakioruiskulla kikkaillessa alkaa toi 150hp oleen jo vähän vaikeemmin tavoteltavissa. Vääntöö toki silläkin ollu toi 200Nm joka musta ihan hyvin. Kiinnostas viel mikä nokka sulla on tossa vehkeessä? 134?

  • Nokkia oli monenmoisia, muistaakseni tossa paikalla joku mieto cranen 284ast, ruttu 12:1 Maks väännöt oli jo 3500rpm. Kaasareilla toi meni sit ihan vitusti. Koetin myöhemmin jotain racea 300ast keppiä (olisko joku kc:n gp1 tms ollu) jonka kanssa penkitettiin 40-lortoilla 170hp/7300rpm, tosin vääntö laski ja kulki käytännössä huonommin kuin tuolla creanen kepillä. Nyt toi on kaverin caprissa ja nokkana piper285 tms.

  • Jaahas, sillä kyselin kun itellä on tuo Piperin 134 että riittääkö se mihinkään. Tosin mitä mulle on väitetty niin ei tuota rajumpaa nokkaa enään voi vakioruutalla laittaa et pitäis hommata joku säädettävä ruisku taikka sit ne tuplat.

    Oli sulla kuitenkin vakioruiskun tommonen vähän jyrkempi nokka? Kun tossa 134 ei oo asteita kun 266.

  • Yes I did the conversion. Cost depends on how much you pay for the stuff.. Complete 2.0efi stock engine costs next to nothing..

  • Yep. Did stick in some twin webers, and it went like fuck, then stuck in a 3.0essex with a single 2bbl carb, after that 3.0essex with a single 3bbl carb, and

    after that 3.1essex with 3x2bbl carbs.

  • Stock 2.8i vs stock 3.0, then yes. Anything else, no.

    Btw; the puny efi2.0pinto presented here packs 220nm of torq at 3500rpm.. ran low 15/high 14's on the 1/4ml.

    2.8 is a great engine, there just isn't much to do to improve it. Yes, I've had a few.

  • 4 a 2.0pinto, thats pretty quick. hav u modded it?

  • Yes I did some small bits on it. It had stock crank, stock 205 rods and stock intake

  • It must have 45dcoe x 2 on it for 150bhp does it? Easy to tune engines these- satisfying- cam and head mods have amazing results, but they had a problem with cam wear due to insufficient lubrication.

    I think the standard pistons r good for nearly 7000rpm. Love the wheels.

  • No need for sidedraught's to achieve 150bhp. Stock efi injection will deliver 150bhp, even tough that's the limit, later car was fitted with 40's and pushed over 170bhp with even more torq. No probs with lubrication either. Peak horsepower with Carbs was around 7300rpm. Engine was built 2004, and is still running great, needs new valve guides though..
