  • Interesting to hear any CBT person discuss DBT.

  • "looking at it as a naive observer." That's a great way to put it. She was stating that CBT focuses more on cognition. I think DBT helps an individual really dig inside of themselves and understand what is really going on inside. Gestalt is based on some of these same ideas. In order for a person to get well, a person but be mindful of inner emotion and behavior.

  • When will you post the rest of this video?

  • wow this therapy makes so much sense. to play the naive observer is a good definition of the best way to deal with a bpd client... judgment and assumption are threats to the unstable identity and could be detrimental to the therapeutic relationship, which is fragile because of the nature of the conditon.

  • that was not very clear

was she trying to say that CBT focuses more on cognition and less on behaviour or was it DBT that focuses more on cognition

  • She was saying that CBT focuses more on cognition and less on behaviour.
