Socialized medicine is great I grew up in Italy and I lived in the US for 4 years, I had medical insurance and still think that your medical system really really really sucks, I had to wait 1 week for the appointment with the doctor then after that 1 month for the surgery I had hernia, in Italy my twin brother visited the doctor the day he decided to go see him and got the surgery 2 days after.
It's easy to get credit for helping the poor when you're using someone elses money. As for the comment "he's dedicated his life to less fortunate" No, the folks volunteering at soup kitchens or go to poor countries to give medical care do that, Ted is only generous with other peoples money. Like a lot of big hearted politicians, they keep there money, tax you and give it to ones they think might vote for them. This is an emotional time for some but keep it real.

I know he's stood up for the underprivileged his entire career. I know he has darkness in his past (leaving Harvard because he cheated, a drunk driving incident one year after having a second brother murdered) that he overcame to become a great public figure. Most of all, I know a thing or two about the narrow, mean souls those who would gloat over others' misfortune regardless of their record or how much they might disagree.

The fact is one of the reaons for our poor economy is b/c we have so many illegal imm. and their employers that don't pay taxes. We have to find a way to put that money in our economy. Allowing people to apply for temporary work visa's will allow a structure to actually form and assists to our unstable economy...and b/c of this you want him to die???
