@dgronaldo794 No he isn't- stop being so biased. His form is nothing like it is for madrid.. He has 12 goals more than Messi but has had 21 more appearances. And the reason why Messi plays as a playmaker, is because without him, Argentina lack creativity. However, Messi in that role has given them that creativity.. His assists tally alone this year is proof of that.

Messi is overrated. He played with Barcelona alongside some great players. But when he plays for Argentina (still alongside good players) he cannot perform that well. This weekend results:
Argentina ties to Bolivia 1-1, and barely beats Colombia 2-1. Both games they had to come from behind. How is this possible when you have the so called best player? the great one the chosen one, where is the greatness I ask and I'm sure a lot of Argentine people ask too. I mean Bolivia and Colombia??? @dgronaldo794 Ronaldo has 103 goals. Secondly, Messi has 123 goals in 126 games since Ronaldo came to Madrid. As for the world cup, CR had an awful tournament and only scored because of luck against an awful North Korea. And whilst Messi did not score, he was involved in most of Argentina's goals, as he was in Copa America. His assists against Costa Rica and Uruguay were sensational. Oh, and didn't Ronaldo go without a goal for Portugal for nearly two years? Lol, typical Ronaldo fanboy.

@dgronaldo794 No other player can do what he does to the best defences. Not to mention, he is more of a big game player. Ronaldo has scored a few goals against big sides- but his performances don't compare. We all saw how he used to struggle when he comes up against a full strength Chelsea in the Premier League, Liverpool and now Barca... Yes, he scored against Chelsea in the CL final but that was his only goal against them in 15 games.. It's not a good record.

He was surronded by quality players, providing him great service- it's the same at madrid.. Just look at the amount of chances and goals he gets created for him. Like Barca, they are a brilliant side. Messi's ability is a class apart. Just look at the dribbles he goes on and assists he creates..

@dgronaldo794 There is no question that Barcelona are a great side- the best- no one is arguing with that. However, Ronaldo has played for two teams where he has also had world class players around him... Real Madrid have six world cup winners in their side, so like Barcelona, they are full of class- you just have to look at the majority of goals Ronado scores to realise he gets many chances on a plate for him. That can't be denied.

Not to mention, Messi plays more as a playmaker for his country, not as the lone striker, as he is for Barca.. And if you've actually watched Messi's performances since the new coach came in, you would know he's played well in the majority of games... He's created so many assists for them. CR fans seem to think that just because he doesn't score, he's not playing well, which isn't true.

And whilst Ronaldo is a great player, he will never be as talented as Messi. He does not have the ability to be able to dribble past the best defences and score wonderful solo goals like Messi did against madrid, Getafe and Zaragoza...

@dgronaldo794 No he isn't- stop being so biased. His form is nothing like it is for madrid.. He has 12 goals more than Messi but has had 21 more appearances. And the reason why Messi plays as a playmaker, is because without him, Argentina lack creativity. However, Messi in that role has given them that creativity.. His assists tally alone this year is proof of that.

After all, if madrid are such a bad side then why are they top of la liga? Benzema and Higuain, like Ronaldo have scored a number of goals this season.. Like Barca, madrid roll teams over. Denying they aren't a great side is ridiculous.
And if you actually look at Spains results at the world cup, you would see that they hardly demolished teams.

@dgronaldo794 They lost their opening game against Switzerland beat Hondurous only 2-0 and narrowly beat chille in the group stages. The rest of their games they won 1-0 with goals late on.. It was their strength in defence and solid play in midfield that made the difference, not great attacking flair. Just look at David Villa for Barcelona- if it's so easy to score with Barca, they why is he not getting close to the amount of goals Messi does?

He is their most consistent player, who creates and scores so many for them. It's all well and good dominating possesion, but Messi is the one who is their match winner. Just look at the spain game yesterday.. They dominated possesion but there was no player there to make the difference in attack- that's where the difference lies when Messi plays for Barcelona.

@dgronaldo794 The fact is, he struggles when he comes up against a strong defence, where as Messi shines. Also, his passing and playmaking is not at Messi's level.. Yes, he has a number of great qualitites- but Messi's qualities are truly special. Just look at ther performances throughout an entire match.. Messi's dribbling and passing creates constant trouble- where as Ronaldo's game is shots on goal, a few tricks and maybe a few runs where he beats a defender or two.. Big difference in class.

Messi is overrated. He played with Barcelona alongside some great players. But when he plays for Argentina (still alongside good players) he cannot perform that well. He went scorless in the last two major tournments playing for Argentina (WC, and Copa America). This is unacceptable for a player who wants to be among the greatest ever.
