It was truly an incredible movie. It was ahead of its time and a little dark for most people to appreciate it. Added with crappy sequels it destroyed the legacy. However, the concept and story behind this is beautiful. I love the concept of neo being reborn and the human mind conquering the impossible. The reason this first movie was so well done was because people 'bending the rules' in the matrix was pretty subtle and was a big deal when it happened, and whole movie was built up with the Agents being unstoppable and invincible, and Neo being the underdog.. then finally at the end after running from them the whole movie he overcomes. Problem is in the 2nd movie, he is already more powerful than 3 of them from the beginning, he's already Superman and can fly so we have no reason to care.
