  • @Hugobotic - a hub will repeat the signal it receives out of all its interfaces while a switch will make a decision based on MAC addresses, there are quite a few other differences, such as a hub is classed as a layer one device, that is operating at the physical layer and a switch will operate at layer 2, the data link layer...google it :)
