janis joplin was probally the best white female blues singer of her time and to this day she was a very unigue person to bad she left so early in life
@Acecoo1444 who do yu think led the way for female artist's the late great Janis Joplin who never considered herself as been great as a matter of fact when janis was asked who she liked to listen to she replied Tina Turner, and Joplin was highly talented, but i doubt if yu are old enough to have seen her in person.
well, I am here as a refugee of adele this and adele that. The last time that I saw Sass was at Sarstock, years ago. Have never gotten tired of her music, though, and listen to it still. Sass, no idea what you are doing today, but for a while, and still, you gave us something to love here in Toronto. Just hope you are doing well, still a fan, even adele cannot knock that out of me.
Remember the Rats album - looked at the cover and thought i was some corny MTV rawk record -bought it only cos George Clinton was on a track with her - Blew my fecking socks clean off awesome - should have been huge !!
@CoastGuardIDC Sass got hung out to dry by the lack of promotion of her record label in the states. I lived in the Cleveland area and the only reason I ever heard it was because of the DJ who loved it himself and decided to play it.
@spajk75 Hey would you know or anyone else on here might know of a tune she did called "Razor's Edge" or do I have the title wrong? I must have heard it like 20 years ago. I thought for sure it was Sass Jordan...???
The first time I heard this song it reached in and pulled my heart out of my chest....been here done that...She is a phenomenal artist. Too bad she sang about things the main stream was not interested in listening. She was a little to rough and not pretty enough for the execs taste...at least she brightened my existance....I so wish more people could appreciate her as much as she deserved...no accounting for some peoples taste...Thank you sass i wish the very best for you!!!.....V
One song was actually played for a small period on the radio, which made me look her up in the record stores...Have her first 2 albums..saw her at the BoatHouse, Norfolk Va in the 90's...a little waif of a girl but what a set of pipes...another wonderful talent that got chewed up and spit out by the major labels...it's ironic to see her on VEVO, considering she was probably treated like shiet during her "salad days" ...;-)
The Best, Ever.

This is about her and her boyfriend fighting heroine addiction - she was pretty bad for awhile, after she moved to LA!

Working in a bar where she 'once' played.
Let me tell you this: she's a treat to deal with: respectful ALWAYS!
She's been there too! As a server (past/present/future) Sass has been there.
Talented? In spades! LOVE HER!!!
